Currently available on the Macintosh in TDMª, VSTª, MAS and Stand-Alone versions, and on the PC in a DirectX version, Auto-Tune provides the ability to correct the pitch of a voice or solo instrument, without distortion or artifacts, while preserving all of the expressive nuance of the original performance. Hailed by the audio press as "amazing" and a "Holy Grail of recording," Auto-Tune has become the worldwide standard in professional pitch correction. Recently introduced for Mac TDM and MAS (with Mac VST and PC DirectX coming soon), Antares Microphone Modeler uses Antares's patented Spectral Shaping Tool (SSTª) technology to provide precise digital models of a wide variety of microphones, from historical classics to modern exotics. The user simply tells Microphone Modeler what microphone they are actually using and what mic they would like it to sound like. The plug-in then references the stored models of both the source and target mics and processes the input to create the sound of the desired mic. "Since the first announcement of the Digi 001, we've been flooded with calls from prospective buyers wanting to know if there would be RTAS versions of Auto-Tune and Microphone Modeler," said Marco Alpert, Antares Vice President of Marketing. "Digidesign clearly has a winner on their hands with the 001 and we're pleased to be able to offer 001 owners the unique capabilities that only Auto-Tune and Mic Modeler can provide." Auto-Tune RTAS and Antares Microphone Modeler RTAS will both be available in Spring 2000 at a U.S. MSRP of $399.00 Antares Audio Technologies Antares Audio Technologies is renowned as a developer of innovative, DSP-based audio software and hardware, including the ATR-1 Intonation Processor, as well as the award-winning Auto-Tune (Pitch Corrector), Antares Microphone Modeler, MDT (Multi-band Dynamics Tool) and JVP (Antares Voice Processor) DSP plug-ins.
