From July 24–26, the heart of Downtown Atlanta became the ultimate meeting point for audio engineers, producers, and emerging creatives as MixNik 2025, founded by pro-audio YouTuber and educator, Wavy Wayne, took over the city. This wasn't merely another industry event, but a way for brands, students, and local music creatives to connect on a deeper level.

AutoTune arrived with a few goals in mind: connect directly with the creators shaping Atlanta's sound, engage with students eager to break into the industry, and gather hands-on feedback for our newest tools. Over the course of two days, we made real connections, heard honest feedback on our products, and found new ways to be part of the music-making community.

AutoTune x MixNik: Bridging Education and Industry

Day 1: Touchdown & Tune-Up

Our team arrived Wednesday afternoon, greeted by Atlanta's signature summer heat and the unmistakable hum of a city where music lives in every corner. After checking in at our HQ, the evening became a prep session—testing gear, mapping content plans, and reviewing the event schedule to make sure every moment counted.

Thursday morning, we stepped into SAE Institute and began transforming the space into the AutoTune Experience. We wanted more than a classroom setup—we built a creative hub for learning. One corner featured a studio workstation for hands-on testing of our latest AI Vocal Chain plugins, letting attendees experiment in real time and hear the magic unfold instantly. Comfortable areas around the room encouraged deeper conversations with producers, engineers, and students, while content zones captured behind-the-scenes footage, quick interviews, and product walkthroughs. By the time we finished, SAE Institute had been reshaped into an immersive environment ready for two days of collaboration and creativity.

Day 2: Panels, Activations & Bravo Ocean

Talking to Music Legends

Friday kicked off with a stacked lineup of industry-shaping panel discussions. Attendees moved between sessions like AI in Music, Dolby Atmos Immersive Mixing, Women in Music, Producer Roundtable, and the Mixing Masterclass with Grammy-winner Leslie Brathwaite. The panels drew an impressive roster of VIPs, including legendary engineer Young Guru, incredible vocalist Lydia Caesar, and many other respected voices whose perspectives brought depth and authenticity to every panel. Each panel offered not only technical insights, but also a vision for where music is headed and the role technology will play in shaping that future.

AutoTune in Action

While panels drew full houses, our activation space buzzed from open to close. Artists, producers, and engineers explored fresh ways to integrate AutoTune into their workflows, testing new approaches and giving feedback in real time. The room had a unique balance—about half of our guests were seasoned industry professionals, the other half SAE students eager to experiment without limits.

We kept the energy high by offering every visitor three free months of AutoTune Unlimited, ensuring the creative spark would last well beyond the event. Exclusive merch flew off the tables, and a few surprise giveaways turned our booth into one of MixNik's most popular activations.

Bravo Ocean Night

As the day wound down, the spotlight shifted to a VIP event at Bravo Ocean Studios, an invite-only gathering for top artists, brand executives, and tastemakers from around the city. The low-lit, relaxed atmosphere encouraged real conversations—Grammy winners trading insights with emerging talent, executives brainstorming with engineers, and new collaborations taking shape in the moment. It was networking without pretense, and the connections made here will no doubt extend far beyond MixNik's boundaries.

Day 3: Feedback, Mixing Masterclass & Closing Moments

AI Vocal Chain Feedback Deep-Dive

Saturday morning gave us the time to slow down and dig deeper. Artists and engineers shared candid feedback on our newest products—from small interface adjustments that sped up their workflow to bold ideas for entirely new features. That kind of honest feedback is what keeps AutoTune moving forward with the people who use it every day.

Mixing Masterclass & Competition

Later in the day, Leslie Brathwaite's Mixing Masterclass turned SAE Institute into a high-energy learning lab. After walking participants through his process, Leslie set the stage for a friendly but high-stakes mixing competition. The prize? Akon had partnered with MixNik to offer the winner an opportunity to be part of a song he was producing. The announcement sparked excitement, and everyone pushed their creativity and skills further than ever. What came out of it was a session built on respect, teamwork, and inspired music-making.

Content, Farewell & One Last VIP Moment

As the official program wrapped, we captured every last moment—final interviews, recap videos, and group photos that told a story of the weekend. But the finale came later, at 800 East Recording Studios, where a final VIP gathering brought together artists, producers, and industry leaders one more time. The room was alive with possibility—conversations sparked new ideas, and a few impromptu collaborations hinted at songs that might soon find their way into the world. It was a fitting end to an extraordinary three days.

Conclusion: Atlanta, Until Next Time

Atlanta has long been a driving force in global music, and MixNik 2025 was a reminder of why. For AutoTune, being there went beyond showing up—it meant being part of the conversation shaping the industry's future.

From detailed feedback sessions to spontaneous VIP collaborations, we left Atlanta with new insights, stronger relationships, and an even deeper commitment to empowering musicians. More than an event, it felt like a starting point. We're grateful to the community that welcomed us and helped shape the experience. We cannot wait to see what grows out of it.
