The 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards® takes the stage in Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, February 5th, with all the hope and hype you’ve come to expect from the venerable awards show. Auto-Tune will be there, too, with a strong roster of Auto-Tune Artists who have crafted a few of the biggest hits of the past year. Perhaps the most experienced of these is mixer/producer Neal H. Pogue.
With music roots that reach deep into the 1970’s, Pogue’s experience and innate musical talent has already netted him five GRAMMYs®. Pogue was behind the massive hits of TLC’s "Waterfalls" and Outkast’s “Hey Ya!” and this year’s nominations for Record of the Year (Bad Habit - Steve Lacy) and Best Progressive R&B Album (Gemini Rights - Steve Lacy) prove that his drive and talent show no signs of letting up.
Watch Pogue discuss what the GRAMMYs® mean to him, how he uses Auto-Tune on vocalists, and why this sixth GRAMMY® is of particular importance to his family.
“I’ve always wanted to be nominated as a kid. And after the first GRAMMY I received, I didn’t think I’d ever get one again because you just cherish that first one.”
