Even for a town accustomed to gloss and glam, the 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards® is a big deal. On Feb 5th, Music’s Biggest Night heads to the Crypto.com Arena in Downtown Los Angeles for a celebration of the creative courage and professional dedication behind the music we love. One of the most successful of these creative leaders is the Recording/Mix Engineer, Vocal Producer, Playback Technician, and Broadcast Mix Engineer Jordan Stilwell.

With two GRAMMY® wins already to his credit for Summertime Sadness by Lana del Rey and Beyonce’s Lemonade album, Stilwell is no stranger to creating at the highest levels. For the 65th Annual GRAMMY® Awards, Stillwell has been nominated for Best Immersive Audio Album for his work on The Chainsmoker’s Memories…Do Not Open.

We sat down with Stilwell and found out how he felt about the GRAMMYs®, his experience reimagining his one of his favorite albums for Dolby Atmos, and how he uses Auto-Tune on a microscopic level to get the precise sound he wants.

The GRAMMY®s are important for the industry and they’re great. It’s awesome to see fellow engineers, writers, producers, and artists getting the recognition.”
